Ceramics by Helen Reveur
Small handmade ceramic pieces inspired by Helsinki, black cats, northern nature, and quiet little stories.

A tactile side of my creative world
My ceramics are an extension of my illustration practice. I create small batches of brooches, magnets, dishes, and one of a kind pieces, shaped and painted by hand in Helsinki, Finland.
Inspired by black cats, birds, the sea, old streets, cozy cafés, and northern colors, each piece carries its own small character.

Ceramic Brooches
Small wearable pieces with cats, birds, fish, pastries, and symbolic motifs.

Ceramic Magnets
Tiny illustrated keepsakes for your fridge, studio, or cozy corner.

Small Dishes
Handmade plates and trinket dishes for jewelry, small treasures, or simply for beauty.

One of a Kind Pieces
Small sculptural objects, talismans, and limited pieces created in small batches.
Made Slowly by Hand
Every piece begins as a small idea, often first appearing in my sketchbook. Then it is shaped in clay, painted by hand, glazed, and fired.
Because each piece goes through many stages, small variations in shape, color, texture, and glaze are part of its charm. No two pieces are completely identical.

Details & Care
Materials & Glazes
Each piece is handmade from ceramic clay and finished with food-safe ceramic glazes. The pieces are fired in a kiln, which makes the surface durable, glossy, and suitable for decorative use and small everyday rituals.
Small variations in color, glaze texture, and shape are natural parts of the handmade ceramic process.
Are the pieces food safe?
Yes, the ceramic pieces are finished with food-safe glazes. Small dishes and plates can be used for dry snacks, jewelry, little treasures, or decorative display.
For pieces with attached metal parts, such as brooches or magnets, please use them as decorative accessories only.
How to care for ceramic pieces
Please handle ceramic pieces with care, as they can break if dropped. Wash gently by hand with a soft sponge when needed.
Avoid dishwashers, microwaves, and soaking pieces that have metal pins, magnets, or other attached parts.
Are all pieces identical?
No, every piece is shaped, painted, glazed, and finished by hand. Slight differences in form, color, brushstrokes, and glaze are part of the charm and make each piece unique.
